1.Sunshine Preschools

CFBTES established a chain of preschools and day-care centres, Sunshine, for SatNav Technologies. This partnership aimed to provide high-quality early childhood education, focusing on holistic development and academic excellence.

 

Key achievements include:

  • Development of a bespoke curriculum for preschool levels, incorporating play-based learning and child-centred activities

  • Comprehensive training for nursery teachers and managers, enhancing their skills and knowledge

  • Design of engaging after-school day-care activities, promoting socialisation and exploration

 

Support from CFBTES enabled Sunshine to expand from 1 to 30 preschools, impacting the lives of thousands of young learne​

​2. Operations Manual for Early Childhood Education

CFBTES created a comprehensive manual for preschool operations and management, covering essential aspects such as:

  • Administration and environment: policies, procedures, and guidelines for establishing and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment

  • Safety, security, and health: protocols for ensuring the well-being and safety of children, staff, and visitors

  • Customizable policies and guidelines: adaptable templates for developing centre-specific policies and procedures

  • Monitoring templates and reporting formats: tools for tracking progress, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating with stakeholders

This manual serves as a valuable resource for preschool administrators, teachers, and support staff, promoting best practices and excellence in early childhood education.

3. Operations & Monitoring of 83 Creches (Shishupalana Kendras) set up for Children of Construction Workers by Karnataka Construction and other workers Board in association with the Ampersand Group

Operation and Management of creches in Karnataka region.

 

Key aspects of the project monitoring by CFBT included:

  • Assessment of Creche Facilities: Evaluated the infrastructure, safety, and hygiene standards of the creches to ensure a child-friendly environment.

  • Program Implementation Review: Monitored the delivery of early childhood education and care programs, ensuring alignment with developmental objectives.

  • Staff Training and Performance: Oversaw the recruitment, training, and performance of creche staff to maintain quality caregiving and educational standards.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinated with construction companies, NGOs, and the welfare board to facilitate effective communication and address operational challenges.

  • Impact Evaluation: Conducted regular assessments to measure the outcomes on children's well-being and development, providing feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Food and Nutrition Monitoring: Ensured that children received ageappropriate, nutritious meals as per health guidelines. CFBT also tracked food quality, quantity, and hygiene standards to support children's physical well-being.

  • Health and Growth Monitoring: Monthly health check ups to monitor the growth of the child and to ensure all age appropriate immunization and growth parameters are met.

Through these monitoring activities, CFBT aimed to ensure that the creches effectively served the needs of construction workers' children, offering them a safe environment conducive to early learning and development

English Language Training (Students):

Objectives of this programme are: 

  • To improve confidence levels in the learners.

  • To improve the pronunciation of the learners. 

  • To imbibe improved reading techniques in learners. 

  • To enable the learners to adapt their speech to specific situations. 

  • To speak without hesitation and unplanned pauses. 

  • To help learners with listening techniques in order to respond better to situations.

  • To help learners identify their grammatical mistakes in order to make their writing more effective
